A course entirely focused on harmony

I do a lot of teaching and talking about music, but the thing I get asked about the most is probably chords, harmony, and theory stuff. Interesting chords and key changes are such a huge part of the music I make and love to listen to, the music of people like George Duke, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, and so many others.

That's why I made this course. I've talked about chords before in other courses, but this was a chance to dump a whole bunch of stuff related to how I think about harmony specifically in one place, with dozens of exercises to go with it. I hope this will help you deepen both your understanding of chords but also your ability to incorporate more interesting harmonic choices into your music.

There are no "rules" in this course. Instead, it's full of stuff that has opened doors for me. That's when theory is at its best — not telling you what to do, but giving you options when you feel stuck or something's not working. The more you practice it, the more this stuff can become automatic for you, so there are lots of exercises to practice throughout.

Thanks for checking it out.
