This course is for intermediate and advanced pianists or pianist-producers. You should already have some level of comfort playing with two hands on the piano and some familiarity with music theory, including scales and chords.
You'll see Kiefer take on four creative challenges and discuss the ideas behind each one:
- Writing a novel chord progression
- Writing a melody and putting chords to it
- Soloing over chord changes
- Making a beat from scratch
In the process you'll learn some of Kiefer's approaches to harmony, melody, improvisation, and beat making.
If you subscribed to Soundfly for this course in the past, just send us an email to [email protected], and we will give you a discount to purchase it now.
You should have some prior knowledge of major and minor scales and how to construct chords built on scales. You should also be able to comfortably play chords and melodies on the piano. You will definitely need a piano, keyboard, or a keyboard-based MIDI instrument to get the most out of this course.
You will get unlimited access to all the videos and content in this course, forever. You can go at your own pace, and watch the videos whenever you like. The videos are downloadable, and there is no expiration date on your access to the course.
You can start anytime and take as long as you want with it.
This course is quite long, so I recommend taking your time with it and revisiting the lessons you like frequently.
This course was produced by the online music school Soundfly, but they've given it to me to be able to offer on my own site, and sales here go to me and my team. In other words, all sales here allow us to keep investing in new courses, music, and offerings.
