Going Forward
One day at a time, one lesson at a time.
It's a 30 day course, starting on Sept 15 where you will get a new lesson every day for 30 days.
In addition to that, there will be 1) two group Zoom calls with me once a week on Thursdays and Sundays for Q&A and direct instruction, 2) a new song to learn each week, 3) a bunch of daily and weekly writing challenges.
Any intermediate or advanced pianist is welcome. You should definitely know the basics of scales and chords, as we will go pretty deep into harmony stuff. Some of this stuff is pretty hard even for me — although I've included back up options when that's the case.
Most importantly, it's for musicians who want to take their music seriously. I've always found I make the biggest strides in moments of deep commitment — and that's what I'm trying to help you do as well.
Day 1 is Sep 22. Day 30 is Oct 21.
Thursdays and Sundays at noon PST. It's OK if you miss one or two. These are a chance to touch base together, not required.
We will record the Zoom calls and share them for those unable to make them live.
This course is about MY approach to harmony — that is the stuff that's resonated most with me in my piano career so far. Less standards and 2/5/1s and more switching keys, modal interchange, and George Duke. We're going to go deep.
