I've always been slightly frustrated with how chords, scales, and harmony are usually taught. Over the years, I've developed my own ways of talking about, thinking about, and teaching this stuff — and that's what I'm presenting here.
This course offers the basics. Through 10 "baby step" exercises I try to take you from little to no understanding of chords to a fairly deep one that you can then use in your playing or to launch into my deeper courses on jazz harmony. We'll talk about chromatic scales, triads, major scales, all the chords you can build on major scales, modes, extensions, and much more.

About Kiefer
